Steamed Brussels Sprouts And Asparagus in Maple Cayenne Sauce

Instructions
1.
Add 3 inches of water to a medium-sized pot, bring it to a boil, and add a steaming basket.
2.
Place the brussels sprouts and asparagus in the steaming basket, cover, and steam for 5 to 10 minutes, until tender.
3.
Remove and place in a bowl.
4.
Make the sauce by whisking together the maple syrup, cayenne, grated garlic, and lemon juice, if desired.
5.
Pour on top of the steamed asparagus and brussels sprouts.
6.
Mix until coated.
7.
Divide between bowls and serve.
